We have booked an excellent Anglo-French duo No Strings Attached, Suffolk singer/songwriter Ellie Jamison plus Guests. Then on Saturday 8th June we are planning a Drama Workshop for children aged 5 to 12 in the afternoon at 1pm in the Village Hall.Saturday evening should be a real nostalgic evening for fans of the great Buddy Holly as Marc Robinson and the Counterfeit Crickets will be at the Hall performing on stage. Marc has appeared as Buddy in the Musical of the same name, and the 2 hour show will be as close as you can get to seeing the legendary Buddy Holly on stage in Woolpit.Sunday June 9th we are delighted to present An Evening with Helen Fraser at the Village Hall. Helen has a long list of major film appearances and countless TV Shows to her name and is one of our Festival patrons. This promises to be a really entertaining event. On the following Thursday, the 13th June we have John Innes on stage at the Hall to sing for us, and he has earned the title "The People's Tenor" in his home country, Scotland. Those of us who have already heard his wonderful singing voice are thrilled that he will be performing at this years Woolpit Festival. Our headlining concert this year sees Gervase Phinn on Saturday June 15th at the Village Hall. Gervase is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished public speakers of any kind - he is a natural story teller, has written many hugely successful books, and has numerous TV and Radio appearances behind him. This will be a very funny and entertaining evening not to be missed. And finally on Sunday June 16th we have a wonderful concert with A Feast of Gilbert and Sullivan.
